History

DocSolutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Action Southwest was established in 2008 as a records management firm with a two-fold purpose. First, to provide affordable document imaging and storage solutions for small to mid-size businesses in the area and also to create work opportunities for those members of our community who are unemployed, underemployed or struggle with barriers to employment.

In the early months of operations, it became clear that a natural component to document imaging and electronic storage was document destruction. DocSolutions sought to become a viable resource for this service by expanding the infrastructure and adding additional staff members. In October of 2009, they relocated to their newly renovated facility, and purchased an industrial shredding system capable of destroying 400 pounds of paper per hour.

Most recently, hard-drive destruction was added to the menu of services, with the purchase of a NAID compliant system that allows for collection and recycling of all the byproducts.

DocSolutions has become a respected service provider in records management and plans to continue seeking new opportunities for job creation and further expansion of services.
