However, we frequently run into situations where documents have way more staples than are really necessary. There are many ways you and your office staff can eliminate or significantly reduce costs associated with digitization of records but the most effective way is to stop using so many staples!

Staple removal is the most time consuming step of the conversion process, and when we come to evaluate your records, that’s the first thing we look for. Obviously, the manual labor required to remove all of those staples has to be figured into your estimate for document conversion. So save yourself some cash by simply using paperclips! We’ll even return them to you when we finish your project.

Don’t be caught unaware. Before you trade-in or dispose of your old equipment, remove the hard drive. DocSolutions offers NAID compliant hard-drive destruction. We also destroy computer hard-drives, back-up tapes, videos, DVDs, CDs and even floppy disc.

In order to complete the certification process, DocSolutions will soon be installing closed circuit surveillance cameras throughout all destruction areas as well as a monitored security system. Installation is expected to be complete by the end of February 2011. Additional policies have already been established and enforced, including specific visitor rules and regulations, random drug screenings, and seven years of employment history verification for each staff member.
